Russia: Siberia's Deadliest Ice Road

Deep within the Arctic Circle, in the frozen north of Russia, lies a highway made entirely of ice and snow.

Connecting the remote towns of Salekhard and Nadym, this treacherous 300-kilometer winter road only exists for a few weeks each year.

When spring arrives and temperatures rise from -50 to $-20, the ice begins to melt, turning the route into a dangerous, slippery trap.
